Solvent-based adhesives are the most reliable traditional adhesives. These adhesives are mixtures of solvents and polymers such as polychloroprene, polyurethane, acrylic, and natural and synthetic rubbers (elastomers). They can be applied by roller, brush, and spray or as beads either manually or automatically. The adhesive is applied to one or both surfaces and each formulation determines the open time, setting time and heat resistance.
Our products in this group are:
Polychloroprene Rubber Adhesives for assembly operations, bonding of rubber/leather (shoe industry), rubber/metal (seals), or bonding HPL sheets to wood boards.
SBS/SIS Rubber Adhesives (sprayable) for assembly of upholstery furniture, bonding of upholstery materials, foams, insulating materials such as glass wool Rockwool. A single side only applications. Usually have a high solid content.
PU adhesives for automotive, shoe, upholstery furniture and seating furniture, bonding of difficult substrates such as PVC, plastics metals, and others. In some cases, it is recommended to use a 3-7% crosslinking agent for better bonding and heat resistance.
