Presstick advanced PU Dispersion adhesive is ideal for membrane and membrane-less press applications
Presstick from Polystick is specially formulated to meet the demands of new-style cabinet door and wood panels
Cabinet doors and wood panels laminated with PVC film come in all shapes today, as these examples show. For the owners of membrane and membrane-less presses, they present a new challenge in production quality.
Ensuring that the PVC laminate remains fully bonded to the MDF base material long after the product leaves the production plant demands highly effective and reliable PU dispersion adhesives. |

Five Presstick Advantages |
|
- High initial bond strength for high production throughput
- Long-lasting adhesion for enduring product fidelity
- Excellent heat resistance to prevent delamination in hot conditions
- Nice and smooth surface for high gloss finishes
- Low activation temperature for heat sensitive lamination films
Presstick is a high quality PU dispersion adhesive that is ideally suited to every shape and style of cabinet door and wood panel. Its chemical nature is 42% aqueous dispersion based on polyurethane. Viscosity at 50°C 800 (± 200) cps measured on a Brookfield RVT 20 rpm/spindle 2.

Expertise in high quality PU dispersion adhesive |
|
| Polystick has been manufacturing specialty adhesives since 1961 and has marketed Presstick 346 PU dispersion adhesive for the past 15 years. As a result of consultations with membrane press operators, we have constantly improved the bonding characteristics of this special PU dispersion adhesive. See Graph 1 |

|
| In the most recent bonding tests, conducted on a leading line of cabinet doors in April 2010, Presstick was tested both with and without a hardener. The adhesive was applied with a spray gun and membrane press temperature reached 130°C. See Graph 2 |
Adhesive test results: Regular Presstick (with hardener) C1 Oven heat resistance - delamination was greater than 0.5mm at 92°C Climate resistance (direct sunlight): at 50°C at 90% relative humidity, no delamination was recorded after 25 days.Regular Presstick (without hardener) C2 Oven heat resistance: delamination was greater than 0.5mm at 71°C Climate resistance (direct sunlight): at 50°C at 90% relative humidity, no delamination was recorded after 25 days. |
| The above tests show that Presstick represents a new generation of PU dispersion adhesives. It is well suited to meet the challenges of today's new cabinet design trends and ensures excellent bonding performance over the long term.cabinet door and wood panel.
